Have you always wanted to play an instrument, but thought you had no musical ability whatsoever?
If so, then the ukulele is just the instrument for you.
Don’t be misled – the ukulele is a genuine musical instrument, but it is easy to learn, and our upcoming series of lessons will give you the basics to be able to play literally hundreds of songs of all genres. Further, the uke is the most social of instruments, and groups abound that are fun and welcoming to players of all standards.
No music knowledge is necessary to join this course. Theory is not taught, the emphasis is on doing, and on having fun. You can also borrow a uke for the duration of the course so you can try before you buy. All course materials, including instructional videos, will be supplied.
The course is not rushed, rather, a nice easy pace – we want you to have FUN and not be stressed.

NOTE: For any folks in Batemans Bay or Braidwood, we will schedule these suitable to your needs.
The core teaching is delivered by five weeks of programmed Online Videos and other supporting materials, augmented by optional fortnightly Face-to-Face and Zoom Sessions as required.
You will receive a new set of material to work through each Sunday Evening for the following week.
Following the Face-to-Face sessions, Canberra-based students are highly encouraged to stay on for the regular play-along meetups of Canberra Ukulele Band (CUB) and the 55+ Uke Group, providing an opportunity to join in with club members, and experience the joy of playing with a group, complete with a “Uke Buddy“ if you wish.
A loan ukulele is available if you do not have one, so you can “try before you buy”.
Assistance in purchasing your first Ukulele can be arranged, so as you make the right choice just for you.
I’m really excited to be leading these lessons, and I am sure you would be well placed to continuing with confidence in a local ukulele group of your choosing, such as CUB or 55+ Club.
The cost for the 5 week series is $75, payable in advance.
Note that this series is different to most face-to-face lessons…
In this series, you actually get “taught every day” – with a full week’s programmed Video Material!
The fortnightly face-to-face and zoom sessions enable the personal meetup to meet and chat with the other students, review and play what has been learned, Q & A, and a look at what’s ahead in the coming week.
Interact in real-time through WhatsApp “Group-Chat” and ongoing Q&A and extra Zoom sessions as requested.
